A Season in Numbers

As we gear up for the coming season, Mark and I looked back at how we spent last year on the snow. We often hear that skiing is an expensive sport, and, while there’s (much) truth in this claim, there’s value to be found, too.

Our season passes have driven down the daily cost of our ski adventures substantially. For a family that intends to ski often, season passes are a no-brainer.

Plus, by accepting a rebooking compensation offer when our flight home from Sun Valley was overweight, we covered the cost of air travel for nearly every trip that followed. While it’s not a savings opportunity one can depend on, we’ll always try to return from our trips a day earlier than necessary so that we’ll be in a position to take advantage of an offer like this should it happen again.

We hope you enjoy this quick look at our season “by the numbers.” Thanks for visiting!
